Construida una única unidad, en 1996, para conmemorar el centenario de Daimler. Basado el la berlina Double-Six de Daimler, y con espacio para cuatro plazas. El prototipo presentado carecía de motor, teniendo todas las características de lujo de la berlina XJ, pero con una batalla acortada. Se presento pintado en el color llamado “Seafrost”. Era un automóvil de concepto y nunca se pensó en su producción. Esta actualmente en el museo de Jaguar y se ha realizado un proceso, para ponerle el motor y convertirlo en un automóvil totalmente funcional. El coche fue exhibido recientemente en la casa de Harewood como parte de la demostración del club de los entusiastas del Jaguar. |

THE INTERIOR OF THE BOOT AS THE CORSICA ARRIVED, SHOWING THE ROOF HYDRAULICS IN THE CENTRE, THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THE BATTERY WAS TO POWER UP THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, ADAPTED FROM A CONTEMPORARY AUDI A4 |
ALTHOUGH THE BODY SHELL HAD BEEN STRENGTHENED BY SVO IN ANTICIPATION OF HAVING THE ENGINE ETC FITTED, THE FINAL TRANSMISSION TUNNEL SKINS, WHILST MANUFACTURED, HAD NOT BEEN FITTED. HERE THEY ARE OFFERED UP IN ORDER TO BE FINALLY FETTLED BEFORE……… |
IN ADDITION TO ALL THE NEW PARTS ORDERED, THERE WERE INNUMERABLE OTHER COMPONENTS THAT EITHER WERE UNAVAILABLE OR JUST TOO DIFFICULT TO LOCATE NEW. FORTUNATELY JAGUAR BREAKERS EUROJAG IN DARLINGTON WERE WILLING TO MAKE A CAR AVAILABLE FOR DAVID TO DISMANTLE AND TAKE WHAT HE REQUIRED. |
WITH THE CAR STRIPPED OUT, THE TRANSMISSION TUNNEL WELDED AND ALL THE PARTS TO HAND, REASSEMBLY COULD START. AMONGST THE FIRST COMPONENTS TO BE FITTED ARE THE MAIN WIRING HARNESSES. THIS IS HOW IT ALL ARRIVED! |

ACCOMMODATING ALL THIS NEATLY IN THE BOOT WAS GOING TO BE A CHALLENGE, THE FUSEBOX TO THE LEFT IS FOR THE ROOF ELECTRICS, THE ONE TO THE RIGHT IS THE MAIN VEHICLE FUSE BOX |
THE ENGINE BAY BUILT UP JUST PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE ENGINE/GEARBOX |
HERE THE RADIATOR SUPPORT PANEL AND CROSS BRACE HAVE BEEN FITTED |
NOW THE CORSICA WAS FULLY LADEN, IT WAS TIME TO WORK ON ENSURING THE RIDE HEIGHT WAS CORRECT – IT TOOK ABOUT FIVE ATTEMPTS WITH DIFFERENT SPRING RATES IN ORDER TO PRODUCE A SATISFACTORY RESULT |
